About
Apollo's Rebellion is a blog I started in 2010 as a pet project. Since then it has become a platform for me to share my ideas and opinions with the world. It has been my dream to write ever since I could form coherent sentences. My grandfather loved to read books and he passed on that love to most of his grandchildren, including me. Through stories I have found a reason to live and they have inspired me. I hope that one day my writing will inspire others the same way I have been inspired by the books I've read and loved.
I chose the title Apollo's Rebellion because I am very interested in mythology and legends. Apollo is the Greek chariot god of the sun who is said to pull the sun across the sky, he has a twin sister named Artemis who pulls the moon across the sky. Apollo is also the god of poetry and literature. He is described by John Keats as the "Great god of bards" and is sometimes shown holding a small harp. A rebellion can be defined as open defiance or resistance and is usually to show disapproval with authority. Therefore, Apollo's Rebellion is a sort of resistance against the social norm and the self appointed leaders of society, it is a blog that incorporates my original work and reviews of books, television programs and poems.
